Entry fee is £7.00. Entrants are able to submit more than one story per competition at a reduced fee of £5.00. Any entrants paying the £7.00 fee that miss the current competition will automatically be entered into the following competition. Please make all cheques payable to The Short Story Competition

Entries are accepted from residents of every country, but please ensure the cheques are marked as Pounds Sterling.

Stories will be judged on
    Originality
    Character Development
    Atmosphere
    Plot/Pace
    Quality of Ending
Every entry will be scored and rated against fellow competitors. The top three winners will have their stories published on site, together with a brief biography and contact details for any potential publishers. The top ten entrants will have their names and scores published on site.

The top three winners will be notified and asked to re-submit their entry in an electronic format with brief biography. If this is not possible, an alternative will be considered.

Please ensure correct postage as we can not be held responsible for packages incorrectly posted.

Please do not send your only copy of your manuscript as they will not be returned.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to stories thought to be inappropriate. Entry fees will be returned in full.

The decision of the judges is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.
